Hop on the bandwagon! - If you really knew me...

 100_1304
These gorgeous women and I met each other in third grade and our lives were forever changed.... They really know me. And here's some of the things they know:

If you really knew me - - -
  1.  you'd know I worry about everything.
  2. I want to quit stuff I love at the drop of the hat. When the going gets tough, Jana quits. Okay, not really, but I sure think about it.
  3. you'd know sometimes I'm cranky for no reason.
  4. you'd know I get overwhelmed way too easily.
  5. you'd know I make big messes and rarely clean up.
  6. you'd know I'm unorganized.
  7. you'd know I procrastinate like the dickens. I'm seriously the worst. I always get myself so stressed out and you'd think I would have learned my lesson by now... unfortunately - old habits die hard.
  8. you'd know my love for clothes and fashion is not "just a phase".
  9. you'd know curse words prick my heart and make me uncomfortable.
  10. you'd know I truly, love people. Massively. With my whole heart. Sometimes I realize I'm crying and then I'm not sure what happened. It can be simple things, like Rise and Shine assemblies or commercials. Yep. I'm that lady.
  11. you'd know I wish I were the BEST one at everything.
  12. you'd know I'm the biggest drama queen in real life. Quite a bunch of unnecessary, theatrical flair going on.
  13. you'd know I kinda sorta think babies are gross and they scare the crap out of me but I still really want one.
  14. you'd know I got glasses in 5th grade and feel really weird when I don't wear them.
  15. you'd know I hit curbs. Often. A lot. Whoops.

Storm the Gates!!!

Batten down the hatches and other such poppycock. I've been under a rock! Apparently all the locals already know about this beauty...
 100_1328

I was out Garage Saleing Saturday and I came across that beautiful home. I realize it's quirky....but I'm a bit eccentric and so is the hub. I had to take pictures because I was by myself and I needed to show people.
Obviously I stopped and gawked like a tourist on vacation. Pulled out the camera and everything! Clearly, I was thinking of  you, my dear blog readers.

They had these beautiful posts on either side of their driveway...

After hitting a few sales and freezing my toosh off I picked up the man to continue bargain hunting.

I love this hat! It was my grandma Jessie's. And this awesome car accessory is my husband's.

It's difficult to see but I'm sporting my awesome ear cuff I got on eBay.
I apologize for the lack of silly photos but it was hiney-freezin'-weather and I was ready to get in a heated place.

I'm a Winner, Baby!

I am a lucky duck! And it's all thanks to Sheena over at A Girl's Guide to Retail Therapy.

 100_1307

She hooked a girl up! I entered to win some lip gloss.... but look at the loot she sent my way! Thanks for making my day special and making me smile.

Aren't those mustache magnets the cutest ever?! What a nice surprise!

She has great style and writes fun posts....so if you've never checked her out.... what are you waiting for?! Sheena at A Girl's Guide to Retail Therapy

In other news....*but still slightly related* everyone knows I'm a garage sale, thrift store lady. Check out this outfit of the day! (How the heck is that related? I'll tell ya'. I'm wearing the lipgloss I won from Sheena. It's lightly pigmented and super glittery when you're up close. It's by Revlon and I'm a fan. It smells nice and has a slightly sweet taste to it. It's comparable to the lipgloss I usually get at Bath and Body Works. )

(Sidenote: I'm a lil obsessed with this skirt...so there are a lot  too many  a crapload of pictures. Please forgive me for my vanity. But be honest, it's got to be at least one of the reasons you hang around, right?)

"Street Style" - Episode 1

So.... one day last week, I saw a great outfit on a shopper at Target. I immediately wanted to ask her if I could take her picture for a  "Street Style" post on my blog...then I realized I didn't have any of my cards and I'd seem like a creeper..... so, lesson learned and I now carry cards.

May I present to you, one of my biggest fashion-inspirations, and the first volunteer for Every Day is Your Runway "Street Style"....... *drum roll please* MY MOMMA!

Couldn't tell you where she got her clothes because I don't know but I can guarantee my momma is a bargain hunter. Plus - you can see where I learned to pose. As they say, "The acorn doesn't fall too far from the tree." She's just too much! So stinkin' cute!

She got sassier the more photos I took.... not to tell too much...but mom is older than she looks. She's such a hot tamale! She recently got her hair cut in this style and it is fab-u-lous. Can't get over how precious my mom is. She is definitely a role model and I look up to her for far more than her awesome fashion sense.

You can be fashionable in every decade and every generation!
