3 +4 = SEVEN Questions!

Let's start this shindig with a funny picture:
Middle Wolf and I had a Ke$ha Glitter Party because we weren't able to score tickets for ourselves.... "What's a Ke$ha glitter party" you ask? Oh, it's full of wonderous things, like glitter eyeshadow, spicy leopard print attire, random braids, and a radio station of all-Ke$ha-all-the time.

1. I say "Jump" You say ______.
How high?

2. What is your favorite flower?
I'm high maintenance ya'll... I love roses!

3. If you had to choose between having plumbing or electricity, which would you choose?
Whoa. Tough call...but life without plumbing would mean stinky toilets and stinky people. No showers. No water. Boo. I think people were able to entertain themselves pre-electricity. There'd be more time for reading, drawing, etc. (old-school entertainment)

4. What is your go-to funny youtube video? (keep 'em clean)

and...

and just for fun...not for funny...

5. Do you think dreams mean something?
Sometimes they do and I can usually rationalize or at the very least explain why I dreamed it.

Acts 2:17 says. "In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams

6. Do you collect anything?
At school, kids know I'm a Hello Kitty-aholic. At home, I guess if clothes & shoes count - that'd be collection.

7. You're in a situation that is everything it should be. You're with the right people, in the right place, doing the right things, but it doesn't "feel" right... What do you do?
Wake up because obviously I'm dreaming.

So...you buy your makeup from WalMart too?

After mentioning that I'm super high class and buy all my makeup from  Wal-Mart... I knew you guys would be DYING, so close to foaming at the mouth with excitement to see what products I use to get the "all natural" look. ;o)
Natural Makeup

So here's the lowdown, the skinny, the poop (hee hee) , the goods:
Walmart Makeup
Let's go clockwise:
Cheapy deepy blush brush
Maybelline Falsies Volum
(now usually I like to use Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara but the Wal-Mart I was in was out of it at the time, so I settled. Fortunately, this doesn't suck but it is a little clumpy.)
Physician's Formula - the pasty white, skin as fair as paper color, aka: translucent medium
NYC Blushing Berry (also super broken and I'm on a budget so I'm waiting til it's gone.)
Revlon color changing moisturizer (although I don't use it consistently. Depends on if I have the extra 45 seconds to dink with it)
Cheapy deepy powder brush - I use it for when I put too much blush on. (probably NOT what it's for)
elf eyeshadow brush (so sue me, it's not from WalMart)
Big silver eyeshadow from Ulta- gifted from my parents - for when I'm feeling fancy and I wake up early enough to dink with crap like eyeshadow

So....you're feeling fancy, eh? Feel the need for some sparkle? Need some glitter?
 FunMakeup
Nyx glitter shadows - clearanced from Ulta - sometimes first grade teachers need glitter!
Icing glitter shadow- gifted from Baby Wolf
e.l.f. eyeshadows - gifted from Middle Wolf
NYC lipstick - which I never wear because I HATE lipstick. I look weird.
Love My Lips - hooker red lipstick - for when I work the spookhouse
Hard Candy purple mascara = the bomb dot comb - for reals yo', my husband likes it and I do too. Sometimes a girl needs to wear her second favorite color on her eyelashes. It makes me feel pretty.
eye torture - aka- eyelash curler - good price - and it works well enough for a makeup illiterate lady - buy it here!

Lastly, this is something I legit DO know about.
 Moisturizer
Once upon a time ago, I had the worst case of acne you've ever seen. Blah. I still think it's a wonder I ever scored such a hottie (have you seen my hubbalicious hubby?!) Anywho...my momma told me, "Jana Faith, you need to find a moisturizer before you turn 30. You'll be glad you did." So.... here's the one I've decided to stick with. It was dermatologist recommended and that dude knew what he was talking about! I tried some others moisturizers and they either made the skin around my eyes sting or they made my skin break out. This one is has been great for me. It doesn't irritate my skin and I usually put it on in the morning before I do my makeup.

Don't you guys feel SO informed? Only the best for my bloggy friends. Ya know I love ya!

Not to toot my own horn...

While reading Life of Bon recently I cam across this post. Inspired, I wrote my own version. There are things "most" people do. Meh. I'm not most people. Never have been....
 004-18

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I'm certain I'm an awesome friend and entertaining person. But...I might not be a successful blogger....

Reasons I might not be a successful blogger.
  1. I say strange things like: shan't, holy moly, sorry Charlie, Oh My Lanta, shut your face, etc.
  2. I also address people of all ages from toddlers to elderly as "ma'am", and "sir". It's respectful. I don't think you're old. I'm not talking to your mother/father/grandmother/grandfather. It's just good manners.
  3. I make up my own words and expressions: shoopy,  wonky, bean wings, poop on a stick, stink on a stick, snotboogers, crap on a monkey, jzhoop, and boogety. (This is not an inclusive list. I make stuff up in the moment.)
  4. I think boogers, snot, and bathroom humor can be funny. (I'm a little juvenile/innocent in my humor preferences.)
  5. Clever lines and wit aren't what makes me laugh. Silly noises and funny faces get me rolling.
  6. I am 29 and have no children nor do I feel ready/prepared/want them yet.
  7. I rarely blog about school/teaching, even though it takes up the vast majority of my life and time. (If you didn't know...there are some incredible teacher blogs in the world. How the heck do they have time?!)
  8. I've never had alcohol.
  9.  I love candy as much as children do.
  10. I still dress up for Halloween.
  11. There are cluttery piles all over the house and their mine. I make messes. I am not domestic. So don't look for lots of how-to tips or recipes. Although, I have written one...
  12. I know squat about makeup and I buy all my makeup at Wal-Mart.
  13. I rarely meet people I don't like and I truly want everyone to be my friend.
  14.  I see these bloggers do posts with friends who have similar fashion interests. Well.... keep waitin' folks, because I don't know any real life friends who dress this way. If you do....then, hit me up. Maybe we should be real life friends?
  15. I like old things. I have since....always. There's a yearbook picture of me in 5th grade helping with the canned food drive and I'm wearing a shirt from the 60s.
Most my awesomenesses don't translate via the internet. Dang. Ah well.... I still have fun!

Lonely Blooper:
(Nope. Contrary to popular belief...those previous shots were NOT bloopers. That's just how I roll)

A random snap of my hubbalicious photographer...
HippieCouple

What I'm wearing:
Headband- old Target
Jewelry- Cookie Lee
Tunic- Thrifted Vintage
(sidenote: Used to be a floorlength, stained
dress but I had a dear friend hem it)
Shorts- Thrifted
Shoes- old Target

Put me in front of a camera and I'm a ham. I even cut out lots of other great photos. For my followers, only the best. ;o) 'Cause, well.... I love ya', ya' know. Big sloppy wet kisses love. Alright, not really. I'm not quite touchy feely. If you knew me in real life you'd know I am not a cuddly gal. Just mushy in the middle, in my heart where it counts.

Funny anecdote- As I'm sitting by dad at church this morning, he looks over and says, "Your dress might be a little short.... I look at him incredulously and reply, "Uh, yeah! That's why I have on shorts. I'm pretty sure my dad taught me better than that!" Gotta love that my daddy still says stuff like that even though I'm an adult. I'll always be my daddy's baby.

Show and Tell Saturday

No tales of woe here...but as it seems most people I know are broke as a joke...garage saleing/saling (?) seems like a fun way to spend a little but have a LOT of fun! My bloggy friends already know I love a good thrift store run...but it's just as fun to hunt for treasures at yard sales! Wanna see what I found??? I know you're dying.... let's get it started in ha'! (Didja' catch that Black-eyed Peas reference???)

First sale I went to had 3 boxes of vintage hats. I stopped...looked...picked up....sighed joyfully because of their beauty and the nice lady told me, "I'll sell all three boxes to ya' for $3."
WHAT?! That's a frakkin' steal! But.... I also don't have room for three boxes worth of vintage hats and as supportive as Joe is about my vintage fashion obsession, there's no need for that many hats in my life. So...I chose two of my favorites and a nifty little purse in fabulous condition.

007-13

006-19

 005-5
Hat 1 - $.50
Hat 2 - $.50
Purse- $1.00

010-11
Francine's Day- $1.50
The Little Engine That Could - $1.00
Candy Land with all pieces $1.00
(Personally, I thought the books were too much but I also read The Little Engine that Could every year to go with Expectation #6- We will recognize every effort and applaud it so the book will get it's use. Candy Land is for inside recesses.)

 008-14
Sweater - $1
(sweaters make me feel trapped but this one was soft enough I'll deal with it)

009-11
Microscope Slides - $1
These are for the husband. I really hope he likes them. He doesn't know I bought them for him yet but I remembered him saying he wanted some slides a while back and for the price, they're awesome! He likes weird things too. Good thing he picked me out....;o)

Hope you enjoyed my lucky finds! Have a great Labor Day and....
