Stuff that's okay...

Linking up with Neelykins for It's Okay Thursday.

These things are all more than okay with me:
  • That I've felt completely blog-ily uninspired lately.
  • I came home and ate a Kit-Kat and I want another fiftyhundred to go down my gullet.
  • I've already had two Dr. Peppers today.
  • I didn't think of my Halloween costume until the night before Halloween.
 Tinkerbell =/= Angel
Translation: Tinkerbell does NOT equal an Angel

  • It's okay that I wore this to school on Halloween
  •  It's okay to be uncertain about how "writing" is a spiritual gift, but hope I can find a way to use it anyway.
  • It's okay to have second thoughts/ jitters about Blissdom.
  • It's okay to be exhausted after a day of teaching 20 beautiful children.
  • It's okay to be annoyed that someone wants you to decorate with spider webs AFTER Halloween is over. Give me a BREAK!
  •   That I wore this completely thrifted outfit to school today:
 Hoopah!

Chambray Shirt - $3.99
Plaid Skirt - $3.99
Thrifted Vintage Shoes - $3.98
Belt- $.99
Garage Saled Bracelet - $1.00

Posing like I have to go to the bathroom: Priceless

Realizing there is a trashy plastic bag in your photo shoot - even priceless-er-er

  •  It's okay to be crazy-in-love with my husband even when some people are bitter.
  • It's okay to think my iPhone 4 is the greatest thing ever!
  • It's okay to laugh at Hurricane Sandy's tweets. (She was hilarious...you really missed out if you didn't read her stuff.) And on a serious note: my sympathies go out to all my blog friends and people affected by the storm.
  • And lastly, it's okay that I used to be pretty crazy about politics but this years' election makes me want to crawl under a ROCK til it's over.  Eep. So not like me.

The day after Hump Day - Thursday

Linking up with Neely and Amber for It's Ok Thursdays....
Its Ok Thursdays

It's ok...
- to still have questions about Common Core.
- to not know what to do with a Power Half Hour.
- to miss lazy summer.
- to feel bad that the last thing your students saw was you getting on to them...
- to be sad to have a student move to another school after two days of getting to know them.
- to be exhausted by the 4th day of school.
- to be excited about Fall television.
- to use Google Translator to speak with you English Language Learners
- that I want to figure out how to make memories, teach curriculum, go deeper with understanding, and still love the crap out of all my students.... even if it seems next to impossible
- that my fashion blog turned into a diary of sorts.
- to think "mini kisses from Santa's elves" is a stupid idea. SANTA DOESN'T BRING HIS ELVES WITH HIM!

-to feel like this:

It's okay, ya' Stupid Cookie

Its Ok Thursdays

It's okay ...

- the cookie didn't turn out even though I followed directions.
 003-15

-  I'm always nervous about new school years.

- I didn't wear makeup today.

- to creatively make up a dinner with stuff that's in the cabinet. Score! Mexican surprise! What's the surprise??? It's actually yummy!

- that my pajama pants drawer barely closes - even after I sifted out and got rid of at least 8 pairs of pj pants.

 - I keep having nightmares about school. They'll go away once the school year gets started.

- that I waited all summer to get caught up on laundry.

- to really look forward to spending quality time with my momma this coming Sunday.

- to wear festive teacher shirts. Seriously - not grandma sweater or sweater vests or dorky stuff - but like - cool, young, hip teacher shirts. And festive socks. No matter what my awesome older brother says. Love ya', bub!

It's Okay Thursdays

Its Ok Thursdays

It's okay to be happy with "just a bachelor's" degree.

It's okay to be uncertain about if you ever want a master's.

It's okay to not be ready for children at 29.

It's okay to think my husband is cute.

It's okay to be sad sometimes.

It's okay to LOVE thrifting.

It's okay to like everything "old-lady floral".

It's okay to have the same best friends you had in third grade.

It's okay to not drink alcohol (and it's okay if someone else does).

It's okay to not curse (and it's okay if someone else does).

It's okay to stay in your pajamas all day in the summer.

It's okay to miss your students even if you're not quite ready to go back...

Edit: Addition: 10:08 p.m.
It's OK that first grade teachers request 3 boxes of crayons and 48 pencils because our students USE them! What's not okay is to read about how parents abhor school supply lists and the teachers that write them.
