Stuff that's okay...

These things are all more than okay with me: 

• That I've felt completely blog-ily uninspired lately.
• I came home and ate a Kit-Kat and I want another fiftyhundred to go down my gullet.
• I've already had two Dr. Peppers today.
• I didn't think of my Halloween costume until the night before Halloween. 

 Tinkerbell =/= Angel 

 Translation: Tinkerbell does NOT equal an Angel

• It's okay that I wore this to school on Halloween

•  It's okay to be uncertain about how "writing" is a spiritual gift, but hope I can find a way to use it anyway.
• It's okay to have second thoughts/ jitters about Blissdom. 
• It's okay to be exhausted after a day of teaching 20 beautiful children.
• It's okay to be annoyed that someone wants you to decorate with spider webs AFTER Halloween is over. Give me a BREAK!

•  It's okay to be crazy-in-love with my husband even when some people are bitter. 
• It's okay to think my iPhone 4 is the greatest thing ever!
• It's okay to laugh at Hurricane Sandy's tweets. (She was hilarious...you really missed out if you didn't read her stuff.) And on a serious note: my sympathies go out to all my blog friends and people affected by the storm.
• And lastly, it's okay that I used to be pretty crazy about politics but this years' election makes me want to crawl under a ROCK til it's over.  Eep. So not like me.

It's ok...

- to still have questions about Common Core.

- to not know what to do with a Power Half Hour.

- to miss lazy summer. 

- to feel bad that the last thing your students saw was you getting on to them...

- to be sad to have a student move to another school after two days of getting to know them.

- to be exhausted by the 4th day of school.

- to be excited about Fall television.

- to use Google Translator to speak with you English Language Learners

- that I want to figure out how to make memories, teach curriculum, go deeper with understanding, and still love the crap out of all my students.... even if it seems next to impossible

- that my fashion blog turned into a diary of sorts. 

- to think "mini kisses from Santa's elves" is a stupid idea. SANTA DOESN'T BRING HIS ELVES WITH HIM!

  - to disagree with your friends.

- to still need my mommy sometimes.

- to be annoyed with my allergies. Daily. More like hourly.

- have a "sad girl day" every once an a while. No point of origin or explanations available.

-  dream about blogging and thrifting.

- not have a fancy camera.

- long for an inside pet.  Yearn for an inside pet. Covet the cuddles of a little tiny puppy. Even if I'm not actually ready for one yet. The training. The feeding. The chewing. The peeing.
Reminds me of my doggy I had growing up... I sure miss Nikki.

It's okay Thursdays

What is up with me and the song lyrics going with everything????

It's okay....

- that I just posted an old song that I sang obsessively... and learned from watching the Disney channel.

-  that my classroom isn't put together yet for this year.

- that we have a sink full of gross dishes.

- that I'd rather post on my blog than do dishes.

- I cried while watching So You Think You Can Dance tonight.

- if you don't answer texts back immediately. Some people aren't attached to their phone. 

- that I make weird bullet necklaces, even if I'm uncertain other people will like/wear them.

- if none of my other friends wear vintage clothes. 

-to think water is not delicious. 

- to think the two protesters that were at our teacher training today were slightly funny, even if they were standing up for what they believe in.
